Before the Symphony of the Night

This was simply a magical walk with my dog by White Rock Lake as giant dandelion fluff filled the air. This is the first time I used ChatGPT to help me create an image for a poem.

The shimmers form an exquisite crown

As the dandelion fluff drifts around

And there was magic in the air

There was magic in the trees

Before the symphony of the night

Was carried in on the breeze.

The wildflowers nod with heavy heads

As the rabbits skitter from hidden dens

And there was magic in the air

There was magic in the trees

Before the symphony of the night

Was carried in on the breeze.

The sparrows gather

their day’s manna

As the gentle wake sang its own hosanna

And there was magic in the air

There was magic in the trees

Before the symphony of the night

Was carried in on the breeze.

The heart unbends ever so slowly

As it quietly yields to the essence of the holy

And there was magic in the air

There was magic in the trees

Before the symphony of the night

Was carried in on the breeze.
