As I now get up very early, this has become a thing I am thankful for each day.
Black fades
Stars disappear
Colors bloom
Darkness clears
And I thank You
For the lighting of the day.
Earth awakens
Songs arise
Sleep departs
Nature’s reprise
And I thank You
For the lighting of the day.
Spirit stirs
Prayers engage
Strength germinates
Peace assuages
And I thank You
For the lighting of the day.
