I wrote this today based off our Women's Bible Study lesson on 1 Samuel 11-12 and Psalm 16. We were encouraged to write our own psalm of trust. Mine incorporates everything all of us in our group have experienced this semester.
My soul is fragile My flesh is weak Stresses rapidly assail Sorrows loudly speak Desperation buffets Doubts covertly sneak Revive my reliance For the changing of the seasons And the turning of the leaves.
My soul is restless My heart is sore Struggles relentlessly natter Fears endeavor to unmoor My Ebenezer is raised My knees hit the floor Rejuvenate my hope For the changing of the seasons And the turning of the leaves.
My soul is recalling My spirits memorialize Your acts of unfaltering faithfulness The steadfast love You epitomize Encompassing peace envelops Hushed praises arise Let me reaffirm unwavering trust For the changing of the seasons And the turning of the leaves.
